Banda Riciclantedi Davide Rizzo
A group of actors and educators, in the guise of strange human superhero dressed in plastic and cans, travels by equipped van across Italy. Their goal is to convey a message of environmental sustainability and promote alternative energy and creative reuse. So they decide to begin their work by meeting young people.
During the academic year 2012/2013, Banda Riciclante (Recycling Team) has carried out projects related to environmental education and the creative reuse, in 15 Italian schools with more than 600 students. The documentary brings together the voices of the young scholars, their opinions about resource management, about Italian society, about their own future.
In the background are the educators as modern Don Quixote who never gives up, fighting for a lost cause, from Rome, the great capital, and the Palermo outskirts to Aquila, which is the city destroyed by the earthquake in 2009.
