It is at least half a century that the Eritrean/Ethiopian community is alive in Italy, integrated in the urban tissue both socially and culturally. Starting from the photographic documents that form the collective memory of the community, the movie collects the heritage of personal stories, investigating the shades of its identity, of the migration and of people’s aspirations. The result is a coral narration, to talk about a postcolonial heritage, not very well known: from the everyday stories of those living in the city since years, to those who were born there, to the freshly arrived refugees.
